DIRECTORS REPORT <br /> 95 o Council Approved the Recreation Agreement with the City of Lauderdale. <br /> 96 o Council has identified park district or park board operations for research in the 2011 <br /> 97 Council Work Plan. <br /> 98 o The Forestation Control Ordinance is scheduled for final adoption late May or early June <br /> 99 o A 3/4 maintenance position has been modified from a mechanics position to a horticulture <br /> 100 position to meet current needs. Council approved this position. <br /> 101 o The OVAL Skate Park Opens this weekend. <br /> 102 o A neighborhood meeting was held in mid April for the replacement of the Evergreen <br /> 103 Playground. New playground equipment has been ordered and is scheduled to be <br /> 104 installed by early June. <br /> 105 o A neighborhood meeting has been scheduled for May 16 at Roseville Lutheran Church <br /> 106 for review of the Carter Geyen Memorial at Bruce Russell Park <br /> 107 o Thank you to all the volunteers who have worked in the parks recently on spring clean- <br /> 108 up. <br /> 109 o Commission Recommendation <br /> 110 Motion by Doneen, second by Ristow, to recommend to the Council that a <br /> 111 waiver of Park Dedication Fees for the Meritex Property not be accepted and <br /> 112 the Commission recommends the Council accept cash in lieu of park <br /> 113 dedicated land for this second development proposal. <br /> 114 Motion passed unanimously. <br /> 115 7. OTHER <br /> 116 o Etten informed the Commission on a Human Rights Commission Civic Engagement Task <br /> 117 Force that is forming. The task force is looking for representation from the various <br /> 118 commissions.
