EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota <br />was duly held on the 24th day of August, 1987, at 7:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Kehr, Johnson, Cushman, <br />Matson, and Wiski, and the following were absent: None. <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 8202 <br />COMPENSATION PLAN TO MEET PAY EQUITY ACT REQUIREMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Pay Equity Act of 1984 requires every political <br />subdivision to establish "equitable compensation relationships" among <br />its employees; and, <br />WHEREAS, the attached compensation plan for City employees meets the <br />requirements of establishing equitable compensation relationships; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Compensation Plan is to be implemented on a gender-neutral <br />basis; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Plan moves those positions below the corridor up to the <br />corridor with a one-time adjustment, and addresses those positions above <br />the corridor on a phased, multi-year basis; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the attached Compensation Plan for <br />City employees be approved. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Plan be implemented effective September <br />9, 1987. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Member Kehr, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Kehr, Johnson, Cushman, Matson, and Wiski, and the <br />following voted against the same: None. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
