Date: 5/18/09 <br />Item: 5.c <br />7YY ymql <br />V 1i E <br />In Appreciation <br />Shannon Bauer <br />Whereas: The Girl Scouts of the USA has provided young women leadership opportunities <br />for more than 90 years; and <br />Whereas: The City of Roseville is committed to recognizing and honoring volunteerism and <br />the hard work of members of the community; and <br />Whereas: Shannon Bauer is a member of Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River <br />Valleys; and <br />Whereas: Shannon's love of scrapbooking led to her organize Scrapbooking Extravaganza, <br />a two day scrapbook workshop for youth at Central Park Elementary School and to create a how - <br />to book so other troops could recreate the project and spread the interest in scrapbooking to other <br />children; and <br />Whereas: Shannon met the challenging standards and completed requirements that promote <br />community service, encompass career exploration and develop leadership skills; and <br />Whereas: In recognition of Shannon's hard work she has achieved the Girl Scout Gold <br />Award, the highest award in Girl Scouting. <br />Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declare May 18, 2009, to be Girl <br />Scout Day in the City of Roseville and urges all citizens to recognize Shannon Bauer's <br />accomplishments of earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. <br />In the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A. <br />In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville <br />to be affixed this 18th day of May 2009. <br />Mayor Craig D.
