Department Approval: <br />004., 7-�4;0 <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: 5/18/2009 <br />ITEM NO: 12. d <br />City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Request by AT &T (with Presbyterian Homes) for approval of a Planned <br />Unit Development Amendment to allow the installation of cellular <br />antennas on the Eagle Crest residential building at 2925 Lincoln Drive <br />(PF09 -008). <br />1 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br />2 AT &T Mobility (in cooperation with Eagle Crest Senior Housing LLC) is requesting a <br />3 PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT in Order allow the 1riStallatlOri Of three <br />4 telecommunication antennas and a equipment shelter on the roof of the Eagle Crest <br />5 building at 2925 Lincoln Drive. <br />6 Project Review History <br />7 • Application submitted: April 10, 2009; Determined complete: April 17, 2009 <br />8 • Sixty -day review deadline: June 16, 2009 <br />9 • Project report recommendation: April 24, 2009 <br />10 • Planning Commission action (6-0): May 6, 2009 <br />11 • Anticipated City Council action: May 18, 2009 <br />12 2.0 SUMMARY OF STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />13 Planning Division staff concurs with the unanimous recommendation of the Planning <br />14 Commission (at the duly noticed public hearing of May 6, 2009) to support the requested <br />15 PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT, AT 2925 LINCOLN DRIVE, as discussed in <br />16 Sections 4 -6 and the recommendations of Section 7 of the project report dated April 24, <br />17 2009. <br />18 3.0 SUMMARY OF SUGGESTED ACTION <br />19 ADOPT a RESOLUTION approving the PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />20 AMENDMENT, allowing the installation of three telecommunication antenna and an <br />21 equipment platform on the roof of the Eagle Crest building at 2925 Lincoln Drive, with <br />22 conditions (see section 8 for detailed recommendation). <br />23 4.0 BACKGROUND <br />24 4.1 The College Properties Planned Unit Development (PUD) was approved in 1993 to allow <br />25 the creation of the Eagle Crest Campus, which includes assisted living, independent <br />26 senior apartments and a dementia residence.
