Draft Planning Commission Minutes Attachment F <br />7 PLANNING FILE 09 -008 <br />2 Request by AT & T (with Presbyterian Homes) for approval of a PLANNED UNIT <br />3 DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT to allow the installation of cellular antennae on top of the <br />4 Eagle Crest residential building at 2925 Lincoln Drive <br />5 Vice Chair Boerigter opened the Public Hearing for Planning File 09 -008. <br />6 <br />7 City Planner Thomas Paschke provided staff's analysis of the request of AT & T Mobility (in <br />s cooperation with Eagle Crest Senior Housing LLC) for a PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br />9 AMENDMENT to allow installation of three (3) telecommunication antennas and an equipment shelter <br />lo on the roof of the Eagle Crest building at 2925 Lincoln Drive. <br />11 <br />12 Mr. Paschke noted that in April, T- Mobile sought and received the Planning Commission's <br />13 recommendation for support of three (3) antennae and an equipment platform on the same building, also <br />14 approved as a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Amendment. <br />15 <br />16 Mr. Paschke noted that this proposal calls for three (3) pair of antennae to be installed for a total of six <br />17 (6); and that the equipment necessary for operation of the site included a ten by sixteen foot (10' x 16') <br />18 light- weight shelter, ten feet (10') in height and located on the back roof portion in a symmetrical <br />19 fashion to the proposed T- mobile equipment platform. Mr. Paschke advised that the shelter would be <br />20 painted to match the proposed T- Mobile screen wall and have a gabled roof. <br />21 <br />22 Staff recommended APPROVAL of the request of AT & T Mobility (in cooperation with Eagle Crest <br />23 Senior Housing LLC) for a PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT AMENDMENT to allow installation <br />24 of three (3) telecommunication antennas and an equipment shelter on the roof of the Eagle Crest <br />25 building at 2925 Lincoln Drive; based on the comments of Sections 4 and 5 and the conditions detailed <br />26 in Section 6 of the project report dated May 06, 2009. <br />27 <br />28 Applicant, Mark Hemstreet — Buell Consulting, Inc., Authorized Representative of AT & T <br />29 Mr. Hemstreet concurred with Mr. Paschke's summary; and that it was the intent to match paint to the <br />3o building's siding and gabled roof to match, as well as the equipment of T- Mobile. <br />31 Public Comment <br />32 No one appeared to speak for or against. <br />33 <br />34 Vice Chair Boerigter closed the Public Hearing at this time. <br />35 <br />36 MOTION <br />37 Member Boerigter moved, seconded by Member Best to RECOMMEND TO THE CITY <br />38 COUNCIL APPROVAL of a PLANANED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) AMENDMENT AT & <br />39 T Mobility (in cooperation with Eagle Crest Senior Housing LLC) to allow installation of three (3) <br />40 pair of telecommunication antennas and an equipment shelter on the roof of the Eagle Crest <br />41 building at 2925 Lincoln Drive; based on the comments of Section 4 -6 and the conditions detailed <br />42 in Section 6 of the project report dated May 06, 20090 <br />43 <br />44 Ayes:6 <br />45 Nays:0 <br />46 Motion carried. <br />47 <br />48 Vice Chair Boerigter noted that the case was scheduled to be heard by the City Council at their May 18, <br />49 2009 meeting. <br />
