I <br />ITEM ITEM DESCRIPTION' <br />Participation In Law Suit <br />The eight suburban cities have been meeting to discuss possible <br />interest and approaches� in bringing legal action to prevent the <br />Metro Council-Waste Control Commission from 'charqinq suburban <br />cities for the treatment of certain stom waterk <br />J1EETING March 23,, 1981 <br />DATE: <br />01 AU <br />Representatives from all eight cities have indicated their Councill <br />are supportive of a collective and united legal challenge to the <br />Metro Council's action. <br />In addition., all have agreed to recommend a legal cost sharing <br />formula which would be based on the relative land area contribution <br />of storm water flow from each city. In Roseville's case this would <br />amount to approximately 8-10% of the total legal costs. <br />This type of lawsuit could turn into a lengthy and costly process <br />and there is no good wa of estimating the total dollar cost, <br />Y <br />!Action Requested: Motion authorizing participation in <br />
