ORIGINATING DEPT./Div.'. <br />Reports & Recommendations Public Works Director <br />ITEM NO.: ITEM DESCRIPTION'Lake Owasso Study <br />2 /0 <br />MEETING 4-27-81 <br />DATE'. <br />)PEPT. HEAD APPROVAL. <br />During the last year, a special Ad Hoc Committee has worked with' the cities of <br />Shoreview and Roseville to study potential storm water problems in Lake Owasso <br />znd its overall water shed both upstream and downstream, Several items were <br />reviewed in conjunction with that study and were incorporated into the Committee's <br />report. This a by the Councils of both communities for study and <br />-totential future action. <br />The City of Shoreview has now acted on the report through a resolution it passed <br />last month. A copy of their resolution i's attached. As you can see, it essentially <br />calls for two actions by Ramsey County. The first, to construct a berm behind two <br />homes on Gramsie Road adjacent to Grass Lake. The second, to do a study on the <br />adequacy of the outfall facilities between Lake Owasso and Grass Lake, <br />In order to initiate such action by the County, a resolution passed by the Roseville <br />*I% <br />Vouncil would be appropriate, <br />■ <br />0 <br />Recommended Council Action-, Adoption of a resolution requesting Ramsey <br />County to undertake 'a study of the downstream <br />watershed of Lake Owasso and to construct berms <br />adjacent to Grass Lake between 408 and 420 Gramsie <br />Road■ <br />
