ITEM DESCRIPTION. <br />4 Policy <br />Guidelines - Temporary Facilities <br />............................... <br />MOR. 19EVIEWED/ RECOMMEND <br />On June 14, 1981, a tornado <br />struck the City <br />of Roseville <br />causing ex-censive damage, <br />The Mayor, Council and staff took actions in response to <br />4 <br />this emergency, 1herefore,,, <br />0 <br />i t is requested that the <br />Council officially <br />confirmi thi's <br />by declaring a state of <br />emergency effecting 4*.06 <br />P.M. 'DST, June 14, <br />1981. <br />In conjunction with the tornado problem, it has been found to be desirable to accommo- <br />late the unusual circumstances in the community by allowing the citizenry to'undertake <br />certain actions which are not nomally allowed in the City Code-. <br />It i's. therefore, -recommended that the CounciR pass a motion giving the City Manager tht <br />authority to issue permits to those property owners affected by the June 14, 1981,j <br />tornado. A listing of the sections of the code anticipated U be impatted by this <br />approach follows, together with a very brief descri,ftion and the date at which time <br />this special authority will ceasee. <br />Recommended Council Action: Motion declaring an emergency, wi thin the-City <br />of Roseville resulting from a tornado effective as of <br />4:06 P.M..CDT, June 14, 1981, and continuing until the <br />emergency conditions have been alleviated'. <br />
