REVIEWED/ RECOMMENDS'. <br />I Capitol for a Day 9 . �� I <br />The Governor's Office has contacted the Ma or e se <br />rgarding Roseville rving as Capitol for a <br />Y I <br />Day,, The Capitol for a Day program was initiated by the Governor's Office and has involved <br />such cities as Albert Lea, Austin, Winona, Hibbing, Chisholm, and Hopkins. The City of <br />Burnsville has been contacted to participate in the program on November 9th, and the <br />City of Roseville on November 10th. <br />Attached is informati-on from the Governor's Office regarding sugqested guidelines and oraff <br />gani 9 zation for the Capitol for a Day program. A Committee would be formed which would make <br />all of the arrangements for t-he Govemor, Lieutenant Governor, and from eight to ten of the <br />State Department Commissioners for their day in Roseville., <br />Council Action Requested: Motion authorizing the Mayor to invite the Governor to <br />designate Roseville as Capitol for ■ Day on November 10th <br />1981, 1 <br />
