MEETING 10/26/81 <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: <br />The requested change would provide for the inclusion of previously retirer-11 <br />members in any pension increases given to active members. This action i's <br />pemitted by State law which was approved previously by the Council. The <br />Association,had apparently neglected to include the law change in their <br />Bylaws, howeverf <br />Staff has reviewed the request and finds flo conflict with State law or <br />..Previous Council action. The change would be to add the following section: <br />Section 42A. POST-RETIREMENT INCREASES. Whenever the amount of <br />the service pension is increased for active members of the Association, <br />the amount of the service pension payable to each retired member or other <br />retirement benefit recipient receiving a service pension as of January <br />1, 1980, may be increased by the same amount per year of service credit <br />as the amunt of the service pension for active members i-s increased. <br />r % <br />�.ouncil Action Requested: Motion approving the Roseville Firefighter's <br />Relief Association Restated Bylaws, Section 42A, <br />Post Retirement Increases, <br />
