F]
Re: Continuing Building Permit
Union Carbide Project
2455 Cleveland Avenue N.
Roseville, Minnesota
Our File No. 16701
Dear Mayor and Council.
Gleporl R. Cook, P.E,
Keith A. Gordon, P.E.
Thappias E. Noyer. P.E.
RArbard W. Foster, P.E.
Robert G. Schupokhf-, P.E.
Marvin L, Sarrala, P.E.
Pofiald C. Burgardt. P.E.
lorry A. Bowdon. P.E.
Alaric A. Haman, P.E.
Charley A. Erickson
Leo Af. Paw0sky
Harlan M. Olson
David E. Oftofm
As Project Managers for the Union Carbide Building project, we herewith re-
spectfully request a continuation of the building permits for the present con-
struction project.
This project was previously approved ■ both Planning Commission and City
Council action.
The project is being constructed in a number of phases to facate certain
requirements of Union Carbide. The project concept is still the same as
originally proposed and approvedi,
Due to sales commitments, it is extremely urgent that Phase I of the project
be completed and in operation by January 1, 1982. For this reason, the con-
tractors and designers have been working extra shifts to accomplish this goal,
Union Carbide maintains the objective of providing an attractive and efficient
commercial operation that will be an asset to the City of Roseville. They
have expressed to us the desire to cooperate fully with the City on all land-
scaping and other beautification requested by the City,
Since the project is being developed on a phased schedule, the planned offic(i.
building shown on the west end of the property will be a part of a later
phase. For this reason, it is planned to landscape the area at this time to
provide a clean and aesthetically pleasing area. These 'items will be ex-
plained in more detail during our presentation at the Council meeting,
