<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF 'rHE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILIJE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a <br />meeting of the City Council of the City of Rosevi1le, County of <br />Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 9th day of May , 1988 at <br />Rosevi11e City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota. <br />The following members were present: Matson, Cushman, Johnson, Kehr, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson moved that the following resolution denying <br />the application for preliminary plat at 1130 County Road B be <br />adopted. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO.8298 <br /> <br />DENIAL OF PRELIMINARY PLAT AT 1130 COUNTY ROAD B. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Gerald Kaufhold is the owner or has an interest in <br />certain property in the City of Rosevil1e located at the <br />Southwest corner of County Road B and Lexington Avenue, and has <br />filed an application for a preliminary plat for only part of said <br />land. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council for the City of Rosevi1le has <br />received and reviewed evidence, includi.ng.l but not limited to, a <br />report and recommendation dated April b, 1988 , from a <br />professional planner retained by said City that the proposed plat <br />would create certain problems for the City of Roseville. The <br />City Council has also considered a report dated April 6, 1988 <br />from Robert Bierscheid, Director of Parks and Recreation <br />for the City, indicating that the park shown on the preliminary <br />plat is not feasible to become a part of a park program of the <br />City. Copies of said reports are attached hereto and are <br />incorporated herein. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council for the City of Rosevi1le has <br />determined, based upon said reports, other evidence and testimony <br />offered -to it at the hearing, that the following facts are true: <br /> <br />1. The proposed plat creates a future planning <br />problem for the land immediately to the north of <br />the proposed plat. The land north of the proposed <br />plat lies between the plat and County Road B. <br />Until a final determination is made on the use of <br />that property, it is impossible to properly plan <br />the area covered by the proposed plat of Gerald <br />Kaufhold. The applicant himself has acknowledged <br />the connection Ubetween the proposed plat and the <br />land north of the proposed plat by his proposal <br />
