Human Rights Commission Facebook page
Questions
1. The Human Rights Commission hopes to increase participation in and awareness of human
rights issues in Roseville
2. Our key messages are that human rights are important and the City of Roseville Human Rights
Commission is dedicated to creating a positive human rights climate in the community.
3. Our target audience is the youth in Roseville. Many of the youth in Roseville use facebook. The
facebook page will have a link to the Human Rights Commission website.
4. Facebook will be an easy way to engage youth in Human Rights and keep them informed about
the Human Rights Commission. Roseville Parks has a facebook page, and there is an unofficial
facebook page for citizens of Roseville
5. The page will be updated regularly about the commission and relevant issues.
Strategic Plan
1. Carolyn Curti, Marie Siliciano and other youth commissioners will be responsible for updating
and monitoring the site.
2. The Human Rights Commission will use Facebook. The Carolyn Curti and Marie Siliciano will have
the password and permissions to edit the page. They can be notified by email when it changes.
3. The Human Rights Commission will assume all content will be archived, unless the City Attorney
advises differently.
4. The Facebook page will be ongoing as long as commissioners are willing to update it. If at some
point the page is not being used, it can be deleted by going to "edit page" and clicking
"permanently delete this page"
5. Youth commissioners can share the page on their personal facebook pages and ask other users
in Roseville to share the page. A link can be sent to the commission's email list. Youth
commissioners could make announcements at their schools. A like button could be added to the
commission's official website
6. The success of the page could be tracked by the number of people who like the page, and the
number of people at an event learned about it from the page.
7. The page will be reviewed as needed, and at least annually.
8. Work with City staff to use news releases, web pages, community announcements, emails, and
other methods of communicating messages.
9. The page would be updated from either the city's computer or Youth Commissioner Marie
Siliciano's computer. Rights will be reassigned as youth commissioner positions rotate.
