REQUEST FOR HRA ACTION <br />Date: 1-17-12 <br />Item No: 9e <br />Staff Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> PT Action Item <br />Discussion of 2325 Dale Street (HF0117) <br />Background <br />As the RHRA Board may be aware, the City of Roseville will be constructing a new fire station <br />at the City Hall Campus. The new station will consolidate all Fire Department activities into one <br />building. The Fire Department will no longer utilize the fire stations on Fairview Ave. or at <br />2335 Dale Street. As part of the thinking of the potential reuse of these properties, staff and <br />RHRA Chair Maschka have become aware of property immediately adjacent to the south of the <br />Dale Street fire station being for sale. This lot could potentially be combined with the city- <br />owned land for a multi-family development that has been identified as a need within Roseville. <br />The property, 2325 Dale Street, is owned by Fred and Leah O’Neil and currently contains a <br />single-family house that is vacant. The property is zoned High Density Residential and is <br />approximately 0.94 acres. Ramsey County’s assessed value for 2011 is $214,700. It is currently <br />being listed for $298,000. <br />Chair Maschka has asked that the potential purchase of 2325 Dale Street be brought up for <br />discussion with the RHRA Board to determine if the matter should be explored further.
