HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY 1 IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE 2 SERVICES AGREEMENT 3 4 THIS AGREEMENT 5 is entered into as of the _9th_day of January_, 2012 by and 6between the Housing & Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Roseville, Minnesota, 7hereinafter referred to as the HRA, and the City of Roseville, a Minnesota municipal corporation, 8hereinafter referred to as the City. 9 WITNESSETH: 10 11 WHEREAS 12, the HRA desires to contract with the City for the services of administrative 13support staff to assist with the planning and operation of the Living Smarter Home and Garden 14Fair. 15 NOW THEREFORE 16, the parties hereto do mutually agree as follows: 17 18I.Scope of Services. The support staff assigned by the City to the HRA shall perform 19necessary and requested services relating to the actions and activities of the HRA as outlined 20below: 21 22Assist the Housing Program Manager with the planning and operation of the Living 23Smarter Home and Garden Fair. 24 25II. Term. This agreement shall be effective upon the approval of the HRA Board of 26Directors and the City Council, whichever occurs last, and shall continue for a period of one year 27thereafter (i.e. January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012). 28 29 III. Fee The HRA shall pay the City the amount of $ 22.22 per hour (“Hourly Fee”) for 30the services set forth in Provision I above. The HRA shall pay the City the amount due on a 31quarterly basis by paying the City at the end of each quarter of the term of this Agreement the 32amount due for such quarter. In the event that a fractional number of hours of services has been 33provided in any quarter the number of hours shall be rounded up or down to the nearest quarter 34hour. The HRA’s use of the administrative support staff is estimated to be a total amount of 35$8,828 or 416 hours during the term of this Agreement. 36 37IV. Employment Status and Control of Work. The parties acknowledge that the City is 38acting as an independent contractor for the HRA under this contract. The City shall supply, at its 39own expense, all personnel, materials, supplies and equipment required to provide the services 40contemplated by this Agreement. Any employee assigned by the City to perform work under 41this Agreement shall remain the exclusive employee of the City for all purposes, including but 42not limited to wages, salary, benefits and workers’ compensation. Such City personnel shall not 43be entitled to any compensation, rights or benefits of any kind from the HRA including, workers’ 1
