Attachment A <br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES of MEETING <br />F: THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, . a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 1 8th day of May, 2009, <br />at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Igoe, Johnson, Ihlan, Pust and Klausing <br />and the folly ring were absent.: none. <br />Mayor Klausing introduced the following resolution and roved its adoption; <br />RESOLUTION No. 10 711 <br />Resolution Authorizing the City Manager to Execute Certain <br />Grant Applications on behalf o the City of'Roseville <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has applied for a variety of grants which benefit the <br />City; and. <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council encourages staff t continue to identify anal <br />apply for grants as a means to fund the policies, priorities and programs of the city, as <br />established by actions of the Council; and <br />)VH REAS, grant submittals sometimes require verification of authority to submit are. <br />application on behalf of the City, and the required timeframes. for submittal sometimes <br />may not allow for Council authorization prior to application deadlines. <br />NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, that the city of Roseville does hereby <br />authorize the City Manager to execute grant applications on behalf of the City of <br />Roseville in cases where councl.l authorization is not required or is required but cannot <br />be practically obtained prior to an application deadline, and where any matching funds or <br />other city financial obligation related to the. grant are accounted for either in the city <br />budget or by previous Council action,. and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED,, that the City Manager will report any such grant <br />applications to the City Council after the application 1s submitted. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Roe, and upon a vote being taker. thereon,, the following voted. in favor thereof: Roe, <br />Johnson, Ihlan, Post and Klausing <br />and the following voted against the same: none. <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
