<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall <br />in said City on Monday, January 30, 1989, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Johnson, Kehr, and Matson. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: Rog. <br /> <br />Also present were steve North, Acting city Manager; steven Gatlin, City <br />Public Works Director; Karl Keel, Assistant Public Works Director; <br />Douglas strong, Senior Engineering Technician; Baron Behning, Project <br />Coordinator; Duane Schwartz, Engineering Technician; Robert Bell of <br />Peterson, Bell, Converse and Jensen, City Attorney, and Edward Burrell, <br />Finance Director. <br /> <br />Councilmember Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8403 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT NO. M-P-89-07 <br />AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR UNDER <br />AND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429 <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the city of Roseville, Minnesota, that <br />in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, as <br />amended, the Council held a public hearing on the proposed construction <br />of Improvement No. M-P-89-07 consisting of the installation of bituminous <br />paving, concrete curb and gutter, and necessary appurtenances on all <br />that property abutting Fernwood Avenue from Larpenteur Avenue to Garden <br />Avenue and Fernwood Avenue from Garden Avenue to Roselawn Avenue and the <br />installation of traffic signals at the intersection of Larpenteur and <br />Fernwood as described in the Notice of Hearing at a cost presently <br />estimated at $397,083.73, and substantially in accordance with the <br />preliminary report as to the feasibility thereof which is now on file in <br />the office of the City Manager; and having considered the views of all <br />interested persons and being fully advised in the premises, the Council <br />does hereby determine and order that said improvement shall be <br />constructed and financed. The City Public Works Director is directed to <br />prepare and submit to the Council the final plans and specifications. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Kehr and upon roll call vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Cushman, Johnson, Kehr, <br />and Matson. <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
