<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly <br />held on the 27th day of February, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Cushman, Kehr, Johnson, Matson, <br />and Rog, and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8419 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING TO ISSUE BONDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF ACQUISITION <br />AND BETTERMENT OF A COMMUNITY AND CULTURAL CENTER, ICE ARENA ADDITION, <br />ACQUISITION OF PARK LAND AND BETTERMENT OF PARK LAND BY CONSTRUCTION <br />OF TRAILS, PONDING AREAS, AND OUTDOOR RECREATION IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br />CITY'S PARK PROPERTIES AND PROVIDING FOR AN ELECTION THEREON. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the city of <br />Roseville, Minnesota, as follows: <br /> <br />1. It is hereby determined to issue general obligation bonds for the <br />purpose of providing funds for acquisition and betterment of a <br />community and cultural center, ice arena addition, acquisition of <br />park land and betterment of park land by construction of trails, <br />ponding areas, and outdoor recreation improvements to the City's <br />park properties. <br /> <br />2. The amount proposed to be borrowed shall not exceed eight million, <br />three hundred seventy-two thousand, and nO/100 dollars <br />($8,372,000.00) . <br /> <br />3. The proposal to issue such bonds shall be submitted to the voters <br />of the City at a special election to be held Tuesday, May 2, 1989. <br />Polling places and judges shall be the same as the last general <br />election. The polls shall be opened at 7:00 o'clock a.m. and <br />shall close at 8:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />4. The City Manager shall give notice of election as required by law <br />by two (2) weeks published notice in the official newspaper and <br />posting in three (3) public places in the City at least ten (10) <br />days prior to the election. <br /> <br />5.
