<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />OF CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the city <br />council of the city of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall <br />in said City on Monday, April 24, 1989, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Rog and Councilmembers <br />Johnson, Kehr, Cushman, Matson. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8443 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT AND PREPARATION <br />OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS, IMPROVEMENT SW-89-18 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a resolution of the the city council adopted the tenth day of <br />April, 1989, fixed a date for a city council hearing on the proposed <br />Improvement No. SW-89-18 consisting of the installation of a six-foot <br />wide non-motorized pathway and necessary appurtenances on the north side <br />of County Road B from Hamline Avenue to Grotto Avenue as described in <br />the Notice of Hearing at a cost estimated at $143,628.96; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ten days' mailed notice and two weeks' published notice of the <br />hearing was given, and the hearing was held thereon on the twenty-fourth <br />day of April, 1989, at which all persons desiring to be heard were given <br />an opportunity to be heard thereon, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, <br />MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1. Such improvement is hereby ordered as proposed in the city council <br />resolution adopted 24th day of April, 1989. <br /> <br />2. The city public works director is hereby designated as the engineer <br />for this improvement. He shall prepare plans and specifications <br />for the making of such improvement. Plans and specifications <br />prepared by the city public works director for such improvement <br />pursuant to council resolution, a copy of which plans and <br />specifications is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are <br />hereby approved and shall be filed with the city manager. <br /> <br />3. The city manager shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the <br />Focus, the official newspaper, and in the Construction Bulletin, an <br />advertisement for bids upon the making of such approved plans and <br />specifications. The advertisement for Project No. SW-89-18 shall <br />be published as required by law, shall specify the work to be done, <br />
