EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of June, 1989, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Matson, Kehr, Cushman, Johnson, and Rog, and the following were absent: None. Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 8462 RESOLUTION NOMINATING R. ROBERT MATSON FOR A POSITION ON THE REGIONAL TRANSIT BOARD WHEREAS, R. Robert (Bob) Matson has demonstrated his interest and ability in public service through serving for two years on the Roseville Human Rights Commission (one year as Chairman), for five years on the Roseville Planning Commission, and for four years as a Roseville Council member; and WHEREAS, Mr. Matson has been involved in numerous public organizations including Council Liaison to the League of Minnesota Cities, Cable Commissioner, Council Liaison to and Board member of the North Suburban Youth Service Bureau, and member of the National League of cities Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee; and WHEREAS, Mr. Matson has shown a strong interest and ability in dealing with transportation issues through his membership on the Transportation Advisory Board to the Metropolitan Council from 1987 to present, and through his membership on the Transportation Advisory Board to the Association of Metropolitan Municipalities from 1988 to present; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, does hereby nominate Bob Matson for a position on the Regional Transit Board, and does strongly encourage his appoint- ment to the Board. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Cushman, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kehr, Cushman, Johnson, and Rog, and the following voted against the same: None. Abstain: Matson. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
