<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly <br />held in the City Hall at 2660 civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, <br />on Monday, the fourteenth day of August, 1989, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Rog, and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Johnson, Kehr, Cushman, Matson, and <br />None. <br /> <br />Member Cushman introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8491 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 8487, <br />AMENDING CITY OF ROSEVILLE ASSESSMENT POLICY <br />AS CONTAINED IN RESOLUTION NO. 7506 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 24, 1989, the City Council of the City of Roseville <br />adopted Resolution No. 8487 amending the City of Roseville assessment <br />policy as contained in Resolution No. 7506, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendments included language clarifying the City of <br />Roseville assessment policy relating to assessments against R-l and R-2 <br />property that is not tax-exempt for Municipal State Aid roadway or <br />Ramsey County roadway improvements, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the language change clarified Resolution No. 7506 by allowing <br />R-l and R-2 properties to be assessed for extra costs charged to the <br />city for reduced roadway widths, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city council wishes to reconsider its earlier action <br />amending the assessment policy, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city of <br />Roseville as follows: <br /> <br />1. Resolution No. 8487 amending the City of Roseville assessment <br />policy is hereby rescinded. <br /> <br />2. Resolution No. 7506 as adopted in 1983 shall be interpreted that <br />there will be no assessments against R-l and R-2 non tax-exempt <br />properties for Municipal State Aid and Ramsey County roadway <br />improvements even though there may be extra local costs charged to <br />the city due to reduced roadway width applying Ramsey County or <br />Municipal State Aid funding policies. <br />
