<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly <br />held in the city Hall at 2660 civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, <br />on Monday, the twnety-eighth day of August, 1989, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Johnson, Kehr, Cushman, Matson, and <br />Rog, <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8496 <br /> <br />PERMITS FOR MONITORING WELLS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a growing number of wells for the purpose of groundwater <br />monitoring are being drilled to satisfy new Minnesota Pollution Control <br />Agency regulations, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the intent of section 69.030 of the Roseville City Code is <br />to regulate wells which routinely draw water and may present conflicts <br />with the city's municipal water system, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, much time and effort is spent to send each monitoring well <br />permit request to the council for approval, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA that the Public Works Director be authorized to <br />issue permits for the drilling of monitoring wells. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by Councilmember Matson and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />following voted in favor thereof: Johnson, Kehr, Cushman, Matson, and <br />Rog, <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: None. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
