TO: City Council <br />a <br />FROM4 Jim Andre <br />SUBJECT: Uniform Condominium Act <br />Attached is an analysis of the 1980 Condominium Act <br />as prepared by Roger Jensen.. <br />The analysis appears to be straight forward and under- <br />standable. It would seem, and Roger agrees, that the <br />only effective authority available to control condominium <br />4 <br />conversions relates to the "finding... that there is a <br />shortage of suitable rental dwellings for low and moderat,; <br />iwco-,ne fames". <br />The meaning and nature of those "findings" could be <br />pursued, if the Council was so interested. To the <br />knowledge of thi's office, there have been no conversions <br />or applications in the past six months+ <br />July 18, 198t <br />
