TO: City Council <br />FROM: Jim Andre - <br />SUBJECT: Recomme-ndations on Use of Federal Revenue Sharing <br />Included herein are recommendations for the use of federal revenue sharing <br />Eunds, <br />The City will receive approximately $180,000 in 1983 from revenue sharing, <br />There is also approximately $20,000 from prior years' funds (unused <br />designations and interest earnings). <br />:tf the $2001,000., recommendations have been submitted to designate $134.8-011, <br />for specific uses, It is suggested the balance be left undesignated for <br />the near future, <br />If the Council concurs with items 3 and 5 (hand-held radios), item 12 (data <br />processing study), and item 13 (sodding at Woodhill and Civic Center Drive) , <br />it is recommended these items be funded from prior years' revenue sharing <br />($20,000), and be authorized for expenditure in 1982. <br />Again, it is recommended that the use of these funds be only for capital-typ* <br />expenditures or expenses of a nonrecurring nature. <br />"SL FF M, <br />
