L982 Proposed Revenue Sharing Uses <br />Video Equipment. The video player/recorder will serve multi -departmental <br />Te�eds, from recording crime scenes to recording the aftermath of a natuTal <br />disaster. The video <br />be <br />equipment will used as an aid in ttaining, as well <br />as in other situations requiring audio-visual presentations or demonstrat _ions* <br />A a <br />3. Hand-Held, Radio, The radio is needed to provide increased communications <br />ability, especially during the summer months and in emergency situations when <br />a large number of personnel are on the street, <br />6. Open Air Theater/Band Shell. The theater/band shell will take advantage of the,, <br />amphitheater-type landscape sloping down to Bennett Lake, -, below the Jaycees' <br />shelter. The theater will be used for band concerts, plays, talent shows, <br />and other similar events. These funds will be used either to assist in <br />determining the design, or for construction in part, or bothf <br />7, Water Quality/Quantity Project. In 1982, the City received a federal grant <br />for an investigation of Lake McCarrons to determine the- causes of the lakels <br />diminishing water quality, and to develop recommendations for improving the <br />situation, <br />Preliminary results of the study indicate that the water quality is diminishin <br />because of the storm water flows directly entering th-e lake. It appears that <br />wetland treatment areas and an outlet structure to better control the lake <br />will be -necessary, Costs to provide'these facilities are estimated -to be ap� <br />proximately $50,000 for the first phase of the work. <br />!M <br />
