ANIMAL POUND CONTRACT, An Agreerrent ode by and between the city of Roseville, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the City, and Dr. Keith Hedges dba the Brighton veterinary Clinic, 2615 Mississippi street{ New Brighton, 1i.nnesota, hereinafter referred to - as the Poundkeeper for and in consideration of the convenants and agreemnts herein contained, the parties agree as follows: 1. That the Poundkeeper warrants that it has good and sufficient facilities for the i oundigg, keeping and care of dogs and cats which may be brought to it by the City, 2. 'That the Poundkeeper will receive, keep, board and care for all animl.s entrusted to them by the Ci t . 3. That the Poundkeeper will receive and properly dispose of all dead aniral.s delivered by the City for a cost of $6.00 per an 1. 4, The Poundkeeper shall train the City any l wardens in the safe and hone handling and apprehension of anivals,, 5. The Pomdkeeper shall in all cases, except where demed inappropriate by ' the Poundkeeper, administer distemper vaccine to all animals i npaunded. and shall attend t6 the the i i. l needs of all ands. The City-shall pay to the Poundkeeper fifty percent (50%) of the costs inenrred by reason of this paragraph. 6. If any anixal shall not be . reclaimed. by the owner wi thin five ( 5 ) regular business days, as defined in ISA 35.71, not to exceed seven (7) days) , the City shall have no right or interest in such animal and the Poundkeeper may di. spos e of such are im 1. in a proper and humane wanner or in accordance with the provisions of MSA 35.71, Subd. 3 AniTrals which may have been i pounded for the required five day perm may be sold to persons other than the owner, F The City shall pay to the Poundkeeper the sum of $3,50 per day for each dog boarded and $2.50 per clay for each oat boarded, but not to exceed seven (7) days. The Poundkeeper shall. not release any mounded an.�rc�al until the necessary fees have been paid. For any unlicensed dog brought into the custody of the Poundkeeper, such dog shall not be released until a license for the animal has been obtained by the owner.
