PROPOSED '1980 SALARY STRUCTURE- ADJUSTMENT <br />For <br />SUPERVISORY-ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS <br />The overall individual salary adjustment pattern granted during 1979 <br />by the City to supervisory-administrative personnel complied with <br />standards established her the President's Council on Wage-price <br />Stability. <br />Actual salaries for Roseville supervisory-administrative Personnel <br />remained competitive in 1975, as measured against data from. comparable <br />jurisdictions in the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area.. <br />The pattern of 1979 individual salary adjustments' referred to above <br />indicates continued use and application of the performance appraisal <br />program. This is particularly important at a. tine when eoonornic <br />factors demand the hest pes�;ihle allocation of available payroll <br />dollars. <br />Consultant reeormends an. adjustment of 8 in the Supervisory-Ad- <br />ministrative <br />salary structure effective Januai�y, 1980_ This adjust - <br />ment will allow Roseville to ma.intaJLn its eompetiti e • Position in <br />order to attrAot and retain a highly competent staff <br />Adjustments are also recommended for 1980 in the Salary Add us tment <br />Guide Chart. The merit guideline for fully satisfactory performance <br />is 8-9%, assuming the individuals actual saldry to he in raid -range <br />of the salary level established for the job. <br />Based on available information, the recommended adjustments in <br />structure and guide chart will meet the Council on Wage-Price St.abili t <br />standards as presently defined. <br />The .Rose ille City Council should continue to support the effective <br />program of salary administration and performance appraisal which can <br />make the hest use of available resources in compensating supervisory- <br />administrative personnel, <br />Roderick M.
