EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 28th day of April, 1997, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: Wilski, Maschka, Mastel, Goedeke, and Wall, and the following were absent: None. Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 9406 RESOLUTION WHEREIN THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE MAYOR AND COUNCIL AUTHORIZES HIRING AND PROMOTION IN THE ROSEVILLE POLICE DEP ARTMENT. WHEREAS, the Roseville Police Chief has reviewed the Department operations and needs; and WHEREAS, the Chief has set goals for the Police Department to respond to those needs to better serve the City of Roseville; and WHEREAS, the Police Chief has restructured parts of the Roseville Police Department to better serve the public; and WHEREAS, the Police Chief has determined that the Department needs an additional entry level officer and the creation of a lieutenant position and a new sergeant position; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roseville City Council authorizes the Police Chief to add one entry level police officer together with the creation of one new lieutenant position and one new sergeant position bringing the Police Department's total authorized staffing to 45 sworn officers. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Goedeke, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Wi ski, Maschka, Mastel, Goedeke and Wall, and the following voted against the same: None. WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
