<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 03/14/05 <br />Minutes - Page 18 <br /> <br />existing retail facilities. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in opposition to the motion, opining <br />that Rottlund had not met all the criteria under 7b, and reviewed <br />those various components. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder spoke in support of the motion, <br />opining that in a more detailed review of his e-mails, he <br />determined there was less opposition than he originally thought, <br />and that most concerns were related to which direction the City <br />was taking, and the growing pains from a suburb to inner-ring <br />suburb. Councilmember Schroeder further opined that it was <br />time for the City to move forward in a positive direction. <br /> <br />AI Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands sought specific clarification from the City's Financial <br />Consultant, Mr. Casserly. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing, while appreciating Mr. Sands' concerns, ruled <br />Mr. Sands out of order. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder, Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br /> <br />AI Sands, 2612 Aldine <br />Mr. Sands further questioned the calculations provided related to <br />the tax increment financing based on the new market values <br />reflected; and questioned whether Mr. Casserly would state in <br />writing that he had reviewed those and agreed with the figures. <br /> <br />9. <br /> <br />Request to Cablecast a Videotape <br />Councilmember Schroeder advised that he had been provided a <br />video tape of the recent Council Worksession on Saturday, <br />February 19,2005, and was recommending that the City Council <br />accept the tape, in two versions (DVD or video), to allow more <br />of the public to be aware of the Council meeting's content and <br />discussion. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Ihlan seconded, to accept the tape provided by <br />private citizens, and authorize staff to replay the tape on the <br /> <br />Cablecast <br />Videotape <br />
