<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, <br />Minnesota, on Monday, the 9th day of May, 2005, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kough, Ihlan, Schroeder and Klausing and the following were <br />absent: Maschka. <br /> <br />Council member Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 10300 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BIDS <br />FOR 2005 CONTRACT B <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans and <br />specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were received on <br />Wednesday, May 4,2005, at 9:00 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law and the following bids were <br />received complying with the advertisement: <br /> <br />BIDDER AMOUNT <br />Midwest Asphalt Corporation $496,543.93 I <br />Tower Asphalt $499,291.23 <br />Hardrives, Inc $519,886.72 <br />North Valley, Inc. $521,518.63 <br />Bituminous Roadways, Inc $698,535.05 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Midwest Asphalt, of Hopkins, Minnesota, is the lowest responsible bidder at the <br />tabulated price of $496,543.93 and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor and Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with Midwest <br />Asphalt for $496,543.93 in the name ofthe City ofRoseville for the above improvements according to <br />the plans and specifications thereof heretofore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made <br />with their bids except the deposits ofthe successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained <br />until contracts have been signed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Ihlan and upon vote being <br />taken thereon, the following voted in favor Kough, Ihlan, Schroeder, and Klausing and the following <br />voted against the same: none. <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
