<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 11th day of April, <br />2005, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Thlan, Maschka, Schroeder, Kough and Klausing <br />and the following were absent: none. <br /> <br />Member Ihlan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 10293 <br />Resolution Relating to a Process of Studying Possible Access <br />Alternatives for the James Addition Neighborhood <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council hereby states its intention to begin a <br />process of studying possible access alternatives for the James Addition neighborhood. <br />The goals of the process are to identify a preferred access alternative and sources of <br />funding, and to include the project in the City's Capital Improvement Plan for <br />construction within a reasonable timeframe. <br /> <br />This resolution is adopted with the understanding that the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation agrees to immediately re-open the median crossing on Snelling Avenue at <br />Oakcrest to allow left turns from northbound Snelling into the James Addition during the <br />study process and until construction of an alternative access is completed. The City <br />Council also understands and acknowledges that the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation reserves the right to close the Snelling/Oakcrest median crossing <br />permanently if the Council decides not to proceed with construction of an alternative <br />access to the James Addition neighborhood. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />Maschka, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Ihlan, Maschka, and Kough <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: Schroeder and Klausing. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
