<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of May, 1997, <br />at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, Mastel, and Wall, and <br />the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Maschka introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUT!ON NO. 9410 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR AN <br />AUTO THEFT REDUCTION GRANT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has averaged 177 auto thefts per year over the last six <br />years ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, vehicle thefts create immediate hardship on the victim; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, investigating motor vehicle thefts is a technical and time consuming job; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, grant money to pay for analysis and overtime costs for investigations of motor <br />vehicle theft is available from the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program; <br /> <br />Nû'v·v, THEREFûRE, BE iT RESûL VEû, that the City Councii authorizes the Roseviiie <br />Police Department to apply for a $21,065 auto theft reduction grant from the Minnesota <br />Auto Theft Prevention Program which was created by the 1996 Minnesota Legislature. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br />M::IdAI ::Inri Ilnnn ::I \/ntø hAinn t::lKøn thørønn thø fnlln\Alinn \/ntørl in f!:l\/nr thørønf' <br />...____', _.._ _...._.. - ____ __...~ "_''''_"' """_-__11, "",_ '_'"_.."':;:' ._.._~ III ._._.
