This Area
encompasses about 8.28 acres. This Area has been occupied by a trucking and freight business
since the mid 1960s.

The results of previous environmental site assessment activities that address this Area include the
following:
. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, DPRA, Project No. 5781.0001, July, 2000
(Segment 1).
. Phase U Investigation, DPRA, Project No. 5781.0001.0001, April 26, 2001 (Segment 1).
. Limited Environmental Site Assessment Report, DPRA, Project No. 5781.0003.0001,
July,2002.
. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, AET, Project No. 03-01578.2750, August 11,
2003 (Site 3-1).
. Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, AET, Project No. 03-01578.2700, August 11,
2003 (Site 3-2).
. Groundwater Evaluation Report, DPRA, Project No. 5781.0003.0001, August, 2003.
. Supplemental Groundwater Evaluation Report, DPRA, Project No. 5781.0003.0001,
August, 2004.

Environmental Conditions identified at Area 3 include the following:
. Underground Storage Tank (UST) and Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) site.
. Use as a truck terminal (vehicle servicing, petroleum products, parts cleaners, floor
drains, oil-water separators, etc.).
. Fill.
. Staining of the parking surface.
. Adjacent Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) Voluntary Investigation and
Cleanup (VIe) and LUST sites.

Additional environmental assessment to be performed may include the following:
. Assess UST and LUST basins to identify magnitude and extent of subsurface impacts.
. Assess areas of oil-water separators, drains, underground piping, etc. within buildings for
evidence of subsurface impacts.
. Assess fill.
. Assess areas of surface staining for subsurface impacts.
. Assess areas that are adjacent to VIC and LUST sites for evidence of subsurface impacts.
