<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of May, <br />1997, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Maschka, Goedeke, Wiski, Mastel, and Wall, and <br />the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Wiski introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9411 <br />LAKE OWASSO TASK FORCE RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council appointed the Lake Owasso Task Force to <br />investigate various issues regarding Lake Owasso; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Task Force focused on three primary issues: legal, safety/enforcement, <br />and environment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Task Force has provided for Council consideration a series of <br />recommendations; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the following action be taken in response <br />to the recommendations: <br /> <br />1. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to sign agreement for "Supplemental Law <br />Enforcement Services" with Ramsey County for additional water patrol on Lake <br />Owasso. The agreement shall be for the Summer of 1997 for thirty-six (36) <br />additional service hours at the rate of $32.00/hour, for a total cost of $1,152.00 to <br />be funded from Contingency. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager shall request and work with Ramsey County regarding the <br />following: <br /> <br />· Place buoys marking the 150 foot distance from shore (no wake zone) at the <br />public boat launch and at the southeast corner of the lake in approximately the <br />same location as 1996. <br /> <br />· Place signage at the public boat launch to include ordinance requirements, <br />new laws, and DNR map. <br />
