<br />City Council Study Session - 05/16/05 <br />Minutes - Page 22 <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing questioned whether it would be more <br />appropriate to wait until if and when an actual <br />Development Agreement was finalized. <br /> <br />Mr. Welsch advised that the Community Development staff <br />did not perform the web site work; but that those <br />documents, as part of the City Council packets, were done <br />at another level. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan suggested that, at a minimum, a link <br />explaining to residents how to link to the City Council <br />documents for additional information be provided. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan also noted that she had received <br />suggestions from residents that the actual public document <br />of the environmental petition complaint, be provided on the <br />City's website. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing questioned the appropriateness of that <br />request, suggesting that the document be obtained from the <br />petitioner. <br /> <br />With the exception of those items noted, Mayor Klausing <br />urged City Manager Beets to update the web site with those <br />items as suggested by Councilmember Ihlan. <br /> <br />9.d <br /> <br />"Information/Discussion of New Rules on Impaired <br />Waters, and Request for Update on Status of <br />Environmental Issues in Twin Lakes" <br />Councilmember Ihlan referenced a recent article in the <br />Minnesota Cities magazine related to water quality <br />standards, not just specific to the Twin Lakes <br />Redevelopment project; and the potential for serious issues <br />to be faced by cities and water quality regulations. <br />Councilmember Ihlan questioned what had been done to- <br />date related to the current water quality and proposed <br />impacts to the water quality of Langton Lake (i.e., <br />environmental testing for TCE and other groundwater <br />contaminants ). <br /> <br />New Rules on <br />Impaired Waters, <br />Update on Status of <br />Environmental <br />Issues in Twin <br />Lakes <br />
