In conjunction with this <br />program Iast November Che Public Worlcs Department s�bmi.tted �our grant <br />applicaCions to the State. One was xuled ineligible beca�se i� was alang <br />a State trunk �ine on Snelling, the second was not de�ercnined to be of <br />ma3or signa.fi.cance or on the official 6ike path sys�em; hut the remai.n�ng <br />two along County Road C were fo�nd to be eligible and were prioritized. <br />It shauld be noted that whi�e only $740,000 was availabie for gran�s, <br />applications tor worlc totaling 7Z million dallars were recPived from 43 <br />different Iocal agencies. <br />I am happy to reporg that RasevilLe;s two eligible prajects were botti <br />rantced very highly and ended up with a ranking of �k�7 and ��I.9 out _of the <br />several hnndred projectsa The first project is �or an 8-foat bxcycl.e path <br />alvng the north side o� County R�ad C between I,exington and �iamlineo 0£.�he <br />$18,000 estimated project cost, the SCate is agreeable to £unding the <br />maxi�num of 757, or $13,500o The s�cond project is also on the nor�h szde <br />of C bett•reen Victoria and Terrace Drive ar�d once again of the $7,5�4 total <br />cos�, the tnaximum 75% grant of $5,625 is being offered. <br />The remaining 25% const,ructi.on cosL is �a be provided by the Iocal agency. <br />Contact has be�n r:iade �aith Ramsey County since this is along their roadraayo <br />They are agreeable to performing the construct�on taork with their own equipment <br />and manpo;a�r, which shauld more �han malce up the 2S% necessary local contri.- <br />butian.
