I <br />The Planning Commission at its December 3., meeting unanin. ously recommended den]"Lal of <br />Chandler Wilbert Vault Company's request for rezoning from R-1 to I-1 at 2270 North <br />Hamline Avenue basically because there as no development 'plan -for a the <br />Vault Company, <br />,L;handler Wilbert subsequently prepared a development plan and the Council at the -reques-i <br />if the appl icant referred the request back to the Planning Camission for further con- <br />sidera11.6 <br />The Planning Commission was recepti1ve to this approach and asted Mr. Fula-th Chandler <br />& I <br />Wilbert's representative, of his reaction. Mr. Fuith responded that he would like the <br />Comission to vote on the rezoning request as submitted and that he would be talking tit <br />the Board of Directors regarding the va-Hance approach.. <br />The Plarming Conmission at the January 7, meeting unanimously recomended denial of <br />Chandler Wilbert's request for rezoning frm R-1 to I-1. <br />Attached is a letter from the Chandler Wilbert Company requesting that their application <br />for rezoning be withdrawn and that the 'application for variance to side yard setback <br />and variance to use a roadway on the property at 2270 North liamline fo-r industrial purposes <br />be referred to the Planning COMission meeting of February 4. <br />They further request that the fee previously paid for the rezoning be applied to the <br />application for variance.
