REVIEWED/RECQtNMENDS: <br />����_ <br />Attached is a letter from the A'Iarriott Hot Shappes Cafetexia regarding the avaiiabili�y of <br />wine licenses. As inclicated in �he ietter, �he Sfi.ate Legislature in 1975, authorized <br />n�t�nicipalities to issue an-sale licenses for the sale of wine ta restaurants having facil�ties <br />far sea�ing of not fewer than 25 guests at ane time. <br />This legisJ.atxon was discussed briefly with the Cauncil in tihe stanuaer of 1975 anc% the a�iached <br />letter f�com the City At�orney was prepared at �hat tzrne. The letter �rxom th� Attorney <br />zndicates ihat the number of wa.ne liCenses is limited to the number of on-sa�.e liC�nses for <br />the sa�.e af intoxicating �ic{uor authorized to the city. After iuxther review, the Attorney <br />indica.ted that tl�ere is no limit on the nt�ber of wine licenses 155L12C� . <br />11s indicated in the Attorn.ey's letter, �he fee for �he wine Iicense may not exceed one half <br />of the on-sale li�uar �zcense �ee, or $2,000, whichever is Iess.
