The bills wi�l now be advanced to the I976 session for consideration. These bi11s and others were not cor�sidered in. the 1975 SG5510i1 primaxily because af the efforts of the suburban muni.cipalities. The objections a� that time tvas that the suburban co�nities did not have su�ficient time to evaluate the CoLmty`s Iegislative package as to a.ts impact on the suburbs. As th� result af tliose e£forts several of the significant bz�ls were withdrawn and to our lrnawledge have not been introduced. The bills that are now being considered are pr�arily housekeeping ar ac�n�n�stra�ive in nature anc�. do not find suf£ieient reason �.o abj ect �o the proposals. The groposed bills were submitted tQ the�subuxban officials for �heir input or cor.�ment prior to the Iegisiative session. It is is�terpreted thaf the Co�.nty wiJ.l fol�aw th�s pro- cedur� an other proposals that they may consider far legislative action, It is believed that the Coun.ty's ac�.ion is in response to the Mayors' and Man.agers' rec�ues� ta the County Board for coopera�ion and coordinatian on legislative matters. Thexefore, i� is deemed appropriate to respond to the legis].ative proposals. The Council may wish to strongly support H.�. 1463 whzch abolishes the Ramsey County PIa� Co�mtiss�on and provides for the o��ice af CaLmty Surveyar. Thi.s legisla�ion is desired fxozn the standpoint of -�he long delays experienced. in receiving pl.at approval through the Plat Cammissiari. Action P.equested: Motio�z to advise the County Board that the Caty of Rasevill.e has no objections to tihe pxoposed 1976 �egisZa�izre as presented a.�z the Manager�s slu�aary; and. specifically urges passage o� the bi1Z to abolish the P].at Corrrmission and estab�.ish the o�fice of County Surveyor.
