REVIEWED/RECOMINENDS: <br />J� <br />-! � --- - <br />�n Alarch 3, the Co�ci1 adopted a resolutzon auihorizing a jai.nt application with <br />the Nl�tropo�itan Council for rental assistance f�ds under �h.e Fec�eral Sectian 8 <br />program. Since that t�me IND has approved the applicatzon far 500 uni.ts. Of the <br />�atal, 75 ur�zts have been allocated tothe City of Rosevill�. Ihiring the last few <br />months the s�afE has been working closely with the Metro Council in axganizi.n.g <br />the program. A new position has been added and trained as an Application <br />Specza�ist. Peginning September 29, applications for this program wil�.be <br />acce�ted. Attached is the purposed purchase of service agreements bettiaeen the <br />City and the M�tropolitan Coimcil. The purpose of the agreement is to farina.11y <br />lay out the adminis�rative responsibilities of each party and to establish a sch�du�e <br />of payrnenis to be made ta the city far providing such services. Under the agreement <br />the city will receive fur�ds to cover the cost of inspec�ion, h�ring an appli.cati.on <br />specialist, and all other costs associated with the program. Aftex reviewing these <br />charges it is �he staff's opinzon that they wiZ]. cover th� �Cotal cost of administer- <br />ing the Section 8 program in Roseville. <br />The Agreernent has been reviewed by the A�torney and meets his approval. <br />Recomrnended Actian: A�otion authorzzzng �he r��.yor �d City ManabEx to <br />sign a purchase af service agreemen� with the <br />Metxopolitan Coim.cil. <br />
