At that time, it was recom-
rnended -hat the project not be pursued, because of tle recessity of havinq storm
drains constructed to serve this area. The awners submitted a petition once again
in 1973, but this petion was hid in abeyance since storm drains were still
1 acki ng i n tfie area. Pqr. Jack 4Ji 1 i s, who ci rcul aed tte pei i o, has now sent
the attached 7etter to the city once again, requesting consideratian 4f the improve-
ment and that thzs latest petiton of over 35% signers be reconsidered.
As you know, a petfiion has also been rceved in the area of Ham1ine and Josephine
for storm drains to serve tis roadway and if it is approvea, Dellwood Avenu
wauid then b a viabie project. In as much as the past work has resulted in a dsign
beng done and a quanti,y estimate comp7eted, it wou1d only require the updating i-n -
review of this past woric to prepare a feasibility study for the Council's consider-
ation. iherefare, it is suggested that this petition be receivd at this time and
a feasibi7ity study ordered with this project to be timd in such a way that the
decisions would be made after thase of the storm sewer project.
Recorrunended action: Rcipt of a pettion from the owners af Dellwood Avenue
from Josephine Road to 6a0 feet south, for the construc-
tion of watermains and paving ard the authorization of the
city staff ta prepare a-easibility study far this improve-
ment, whch is identified as Project IJ-P-75-7.

.,G:'i ,.vl-f
