Reiling's <br />reauest for conditional use permit until the first meeti.ng in May. The purpose <br />of that motion was to enable the County Board to definitively xespond to the <br />question of when action would commence to acquire property in the Victoria- <br />Lake Owasso Open Space acquisition project. <br />On April 15, 1975, City representatives attended a County Land - Recreation <br />Committee meeting at which this matter was discussed. The conclusion of that <br />meeting was that zf there was to be a change in the acquisition policy, a <br />public hearing should be held. No date was established, but the impression <br />was left that it would be as soon as possible. However, as of this date <br />no hearing has been scheduled. A meeting of the County Open Space Cammittee <br />is scheduled for Friday, May 9. The purpose o£ that meeting is to review <br />the entire open space program, par�icularly for the benefit of the new Board <br />members. The staff will advise the Council at the earJ.iest possible time of <br />the resuits of that meeting. <br />Attached is a letter from Bernard Edmonds, County Dixector of Parks and <br />Recreation, which reflects the status of the City's request. <br />If the Council approves Mr. 4teiling's request, the Council should clarify <br />whe�her other parcels in the Victoria-Lake Owasso Open 5pace project would <br />be pexmitted to be developed. As indicated in a previous report on this <br />matter, another parcel owner was desirous of selling a vacant lot �or develop- <br />ment. <br />Council Action Requested: Motion �.approving) (denying) (continuing) <br />-' � �� l�h.
