Cutting edge with technology, operations <br /> <br />Public Works Director Duane Schwartz noted the health of <br />the department was a result of many years of collective <br />effort, leadership, good staff, and Council support and <br />funding. Mr. Schwartz noted that the City had a strong <br />Public Works program due to those efforts, and further <br />noted the only community that had a self-funding Pavement <br />Management Plan (PMP), wit solid funding through <br />assessments and state aids. <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz reviewed the collective experience and <br />diversity of the Public Works staff; diversity of services; <br />and cutting-edge status of technology and operations; <br />allowing the City to compete comparatively with private <br />sector services.
