One bid, fx-om Hrn,re Fire Apparatus,.did not <br />contain the non-col.l.usion affidavit as required. in the �zxe Department specifzcat�.ons. <br />Several other vital matters wexe not included in the Howe b�d and I, therefa�-e, <br />recor�nend �hat thzs bid be rejected on the grounds of non-compliance i,rith ihe specification�� <br />The secand fire apparatus bid, from Genera� Fire Apparatus, con-�a�ned the non-callusian <br />affidavit and a good deal of other essential informatian required by the Fixe Depaxtment <br />specifications. Hawever, General failed to c�.oseZy read the speci�ica�ians, and as a <br />resul-C, equipmen� was included in the bid which taas not ca�led £or in ihe specifzcations. <br />The �inal result was a substantia�. financial dzsparz�y be�ween the Howe bid and the <br />Gen�ra� bid. T reco�nen�d that the Genera� bid be rejected, and �hat the bzd for <br />apparatus be re-bid.
