<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 06/20/05 <br />Minutes - Page 33 <br /> <br />City Planner, Thomas Paschke, was present to answer <br />Council questions and comments. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that she had numerous <br />questions of staff related to this action request and their <br />staff report, and questioned if it was necessary to take <br />action tonight, or if the Council could act at another time, <br />given the lateness of the hour. <br /> <br />A brief Council discussion ensued regarding continuing the <br />request or taking action at tonight's meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing questioned what would be gained by <br />additional time; and opined that he had been involved with <br />the project for almost two years, and was aware of the <br />various aspects. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough opined that the Council could <br />postpone action until after the court case on Wednesday <br />concerning pending litigation. <br /> <br />Further discussion included park land dedication fees. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder noted the lateness of the hour, <br />and opined that it was time to move forward. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Maschka seconded, approval of an <br />Amendment to the Master Site Plan to allow for the <br />Rottlund (Roseville Twin Lakes, LLC) Site Plan. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in opposition to the motion, <br />stating the need for a super majority for Comprehensive <br />Plan amendment. <br /> <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, City Attorney Anderson <br />restated his legal opinion that such an action didn't <br />constitute the amendment concerns addressed by <br />Councilmember Ihlan. <br />
