<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 07/11/05 <br />Minutes - Page 18 <br /> <br />in order to advertise for bids, further delay would prevent the <br />project start during this construction season. <br /> <br />Ms. Bloom reviewed the items addressed by the City Council: <br />1) $200,000 cost for realignment for park improvements to <br />be borne by the City alone; <br />2) Support of a 28' wide roadway; <br />3) Seeking permission from the railroad to "snake" the <br />sidewalk behind the towers, depending on additional cost, <br />additional fencing and/or retaining wall construction <br />required; <br />4) Curb design discussions; and <br />5) "No parking" on boulevards. <br /> <br />Ms. Bloom noted probable delays in meeting with numerous <br />railroad representatives and in the recent state closure with <br />receiving project approval. Ms. Bloom spoke to the need to <br />accomplish the surcharge yet this fall. <br /> <br />Mr. Schwartz suggested ordering the project at tonight's <br />meeting, with contingencies for those items brought forward, <br />opining that those items didn't not significantly change the <br />overall project. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Maschka closed the Public Hearing at 9:02 p.m. <br /> <br />Schroeder moved, Maschka seconded, adoption of Resolution <br />No. 10320 entitled, "Resolution Ordering the Construction of <br />Improvement P-ST-05-06, South Owasso Boulevard; with <br />recommendations on the street design as outlined in the Request <br />for Council Action dated July 11, 2005; contingent upon <br />technical issues or changes being acceptable; and with the <br />understanding that the actual amount of assessments had not <br />been determined at this time, but would be determined in the <br />future. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Maschka. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />8.
