EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Rose vi lIe, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was held on the 11 th day of July, 2005, at 6:00 p.m. The following members were present: Schroeder, Thlan, Kough and Maschka and the following were absent: Klausing Councilmember Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION #10321 RESOLUTION APPROVING MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF COUNCILMEMBER DEAN MASCHKA TO THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY IN AND FOR THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE TO FILL AN UNEXPIRED VACANCY BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of Roseville, Minnesota (the 'City"), as follows: 1. On September 23,2002, the Mayor submitted for the Council's consideration the appointment of Samuel Marks as Board Member ofthe Housing & Redevelopment Authority, in and for the City of Roseville ("HRA"). 2. The Council approved the appointment of Samuel Marks to a five-year term ending August 23,2007. 3. On May 15, 2005, Samuel Marks resigned from the HRA due to personal reasons. 4. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.003 Subdivision 6, each vacancy in an unexpired term shall be filled for the remainder of the term for which the original appointment was made. Any member of the governing body of a city may be appointed and may serve as a commissioner of the authority for the city. The council of any city which appoints members ofthe city council as commissioners may set the terms of office of a commissioner to coincide with the commissioner's term of office as a council member. 5. The Mayor has submitted for this Council's consideration the appointment of Councilmember Dean Maschka to fill the unexpired term with an ending December 31.2006.
