R�v�E`+l�,p/P.�CO�nM��;�S: I975 General Engineering Con�ract � ��-- Over the years, the City has used tE�e cansulting firm of Banister, Short, Eliiofi, }tendricksan and Associates, to do many smail studies, reviews or investigations for the City. in years past, each of these undertakings technicaily had to come before the City in the form of separate contracts for the cansultant to receive any fees for their services. Since the majority of these studies were small in nature and were required in a very short time span, this aften times was an in- convensent method. Last year, a ner� procedure was fo�lowed whereby an open contracz tivas establis�ed between the consultant anci the City to cover these smal3 project activities for the year of 1974. llnder this arrangement, these services could have been requested by t�e City Council, the City Manager or the Director of Pu6iic �Jorks. Fees for this type �f undertaking wauld be on a per hour basis, as listed. in the agreement. Conditior�s were also incorporated which limited the expense to $1,000.00 or leSs without spacific Cou�cil ap�roval and ta $10,000.00 ar less for the entire year, again unless specific autharization is granted 6y the Council. i have reviewed the cost invoived and find them to be reasonable and consistant witE� the practice in this field a�d basicaliy, in accordance r�ith those Utilized iast yzar with infiation bei�g taken into account.
