Economically Healthy With a Stable Tax Base <br />• Increase efforts toward business and economic development: Develop strategies; <br />dedicate staff resources; engage the business & development community; enhance our <br />"tool box" <br />• Implement economic development initiatives and policies currently under discussion <br />in 2012. <br />• Stabilize property tax rates to encourage investment in and improve quality of <br />Roseville housing <br />• Re- evaluate the Parks Improvement Plan. <br />• Actively pursue and implement a local option sales tax <br />• Continue implementation of the CIP program. <br />• Implement phase II of the utility infrastructure financing package (remaining 50% <br />needed). <br />• Revisit program priorities and consider eliminating lesser - valued programs to create <br />new funding for higher - valued or underfunded programs. <br />• Partnerships: strengthen existing and seek out new partnerships to improve service <br />delivery and reduce costs where feasible, including fire services and other <br />• Improve /increase shared services by better collaboration with other local government <br />(public safety /administration/parks and recreation) <br />• Establish sustainable funding mechanisms for the replacement of city information <br />systems, streets, sidewalks, and parking lots. <br />• Support a diversified e conomy: Variety of Employment Opportunities; Head of <br />Household Wage Jobs <br />• Offer Fee Based Services to Residents <br />2 <br />
