<br />City Council Regular Meeting -10110/05 <br />Minutes - Page 6 <br /> <br />Gambling within the State and City; local fees; and procedures in <br />monitoring such activities. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing closed the Public Hearing at 6:29 p.m. with no <br />one appearing for or against. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, approval of Ordinance No. <br />1327 entitled, ""An Ordinance Amending Title 3, Section <br />304.03E, 304.04A, and 304.06A & B, Lawful Gambling." <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Maschka; Kough; Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />Council-Requested Status Report about the City Ordinance <br />Regulating Amplified Sound from Automobiles <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner provided an update on the application <br />of the City's Ordinance regulating amplified sound from <br />automobiles since its enactment on February 14,2005. <br /> <br />Chief Sletner reviewed the statistics and number of citations <br />issued (6); number of traffic stops made using the amplified <br />sound ordinance (34); lack of citizen complaints filed to-date; <br />and warnings on traffic stops in conjunction with stops for other <br />warnings (78). Chief Sletner opined that citizens were glad the <br />ordinance was on the books. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Discuss Roselawn Cemetery's Cancellation of a Ground <br />Lease for a Portion of the Reservoir Woods Trail <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed the <br />history of the 50-year lease agreement between the City and <br />Roselawn Cemetery since January 1, 1993, for property <br />(approximately 40 acres) adjacent to Reservoir Woods. Mr. <br />Brokke noted that the City had received notice in December of <br />2004 that the Cemetery Association was activating the early <br />termination clause with a 5-year notice, for continued use of the <br />land by the City until December 7, 2009. <br /> <br />Discussion included the possible need for repayment of a portion <br />of federal grant monies received for construction of the pathway; <br />linkage of the pathway to the system; potential use of Eminent <br /> <br />Report <br />Amplified Sound <br />from Automobiles <br /> <br />Roselawn <br />Cemetery's <br />Cancellation of a <br />Ground Lease for a <br />Portion of the <br />Reservoir Woods <br />Trail <br />
